Naturally I considered creating more movement on the water, but what l observed from my balcony in Amalfi Coast was total stillness. It was surreal to be up in the hills in my hotel in Sorrento in the middle of July with thousands of tourists, boats in the harbor and constant motion of everything below, but the view from my bacony was so peaceful! Just birds, occasional boats crossing the norizon and of course incredible sunsets. That is what I wanted to convey in this painting!
