This piece was inspired by the sculpture I saw at the Hungarian National Gallery. I had only couple hours to spend at the museum, so I didn’t bring drawing supplies with me, as I usually do. When I saw this “Eve” by Miklos Ligeti (he was rightfully called “Hungarian Rodin”), I couldn’t leave her site for a while, and did a study on something I found in my purse - back of the Covid test I did for traveling 😅. She was so alive: I was waiting for her to move her toes! But guess what part I spent the most time on in this painting?! The hair! I think the fall of her hair tells her story. I kept applying and reapplying texture and color until I finally liked my result.
